Redesigned Room by Room: My Office

If you have been following my blog for a while you will know that this is my dream office. It all started with this photo from Fabulous on a Budget.

Finally my dream is a reality!  My office was the first room we painted while waiting on the moving truck. Thanks to my sister and her adorable hubby {who happens to be a pretty rockin artist & musician} for loaning us their paint and time!

Here was my office before:

And here is my office today.  Those lamp shades were def the first thing to go!

It's amazing what a coat of paint can do. We painted the walls, the desk, the two bookcases and I even spray painted the little knobs on the daybed.  I found some black & white storage baskets from Tuesday Morning, that amazing pillow from Marshalls and the graphic print rug from Pier 1. All for a steal.  I framed photos I already had from my own personal collection or found in magazines or online in white & silver frames.  Even Kitty Lynn seemed to like the vibe in the new office. I am still one the lookout for some black and white curtains but I think overall my office is pretty much complete.

So the only thing missing besides some curtains is a sign on the door.

Hey maybe I could redesign that graphic print rug into an official office sign.  Here is my design and here is my design hanging from my brand new dream office door!

Like the sign says: Redesign That is always open. Feel free to come back and visit anytime!

There are some wonderful rub on designs that you can order online. I would look for a black one that you can use to go behind the picture wall in the mode of the tree design that your conept picture had. There are also some wonderful sayings. Julie incorporated "the best things in life aren't things" into a picture wall in her media room.
